Welcome to The Academy of the Five Winds!
The Academy of the Five Winds, Ascension Ministry and Light Center, was founded by Rev. Martha Quinn, a healer, teacher and lightworker, in February, 2007. The Academy provides services that empower the individual through education, sharing, hands-on experience and mutual support and assisting others in the ascension process.
The Academy offers variety of classes and workshops on the metaphysical, the spiritual, holistic modalities and raising awareness for conscious living. Martha has been facilitating the Chakras for Beginners and Beyond class for the last four years. This is a seven week class focusing on the seven major chakras, their correspondences and functions as well as keeping the chakras cleared and balanced. The goal of this course is to bring the entire chakra system into balance so that the individual becomes one unified chakra. Chakras for Beginners and Beyond is now available as a home study course. A course book is provided with information provided on each of the major chakras, assignments and exercises designed to clear and balance each chakra, and a final exam at the conclusion of the course. A certificate of completion is provided to each student when they have finished all required assignments and the final exam. Martha is available via e-mail to answer students questions and comments while taking the course.
A Reiki Master/Teacher since 2002, Martha is now offering classes for Reiki I, Reiki II and Reiki Master/Teacher levels. This training is offered either in a class setting or one-on-one if the student prefers. The Reiki course will soon be available as a distance learning course and will be available to purchase on this website.
In addition to classes, the Academy offers workshops on implementing the Law of Attraction in our lives and using words of power. Martha's goal for all of her students is to make the information simple, easy to understand and offer practical tools and techniques for putting the information to use in their everyday lives.
New classes and workshops are being planned and will be scheduled in the near future. Check out the class schedule on this website. Martha is available for one-on-one classes and sessions for those who are unable to attend scheduled classes and workshops. Be sure to check out the Academy News blog for information on new class schedules, home study courses, and anything else of interest.
In addition to classes and workshops, Martha does Tarot readings, palm readings and energy balancing. Martha has ministerial certification through The Universal Light School in Tarot reading and palm reading, as well as certification through The Universal Light in Physio-Spiritual Massage. All client sessions are designed to help the client to reconnect with Source, raise their vibration, and aid them in navigating their ascension path.
We are very fortunate to have a well-stocked lending library at the Academy. We have hundreds of books on metaphysics, philosophy, spirituality and other holistic and New Age subjects. Patrons are always welcome to come in and use our library space to peruse the volumes available. For a $30.00 annual membership fee they may check books out for a week at a time. Any library patron who has paid the yearly fee is also entitled to 10% off any service or class offered at the Academy.
